Students studying the Level 2 Air Cabin Crew and Level 3 Aviation Operations courses at Epping Forest College took their studies to new heights when they visited Madrid. The visit benefited the Air Cabin Crew students who discussed the role of Air Cabin Crew with the Easyjet Crew and observed how they performed the safety demonstration, conducted the in-flight service and carried out the sale of duty free products. The student also spoke with the crew about employment opportunities with Easyjet and progression.
The Aviation Operation students watched the push back of the aircraft, the role of baggage handlers and Passenger Service Agents and also spoke to the pilot in the cockpit where they discussed Air Traffic Control and the qualifications and training requirements for a pilot.
Away from their studies, the students had an opportunity to take in the history and culture of the city. They visited the Royal Palace of Madrid, admired the art in the Museo Nacional Del Prado, visited the Buen Retiro Park and tasted traditional Spanish foods at the San Miguel Mercardo.
College principal Saboohi Famili said: “We are delighted to be able to offer excellent opportunities for our learners to experience what possible career choices they may have. The dedicated team of staff at the college have effective working relationship with many experts in the industry and our learners benefit from these alliances.”
